On your way, you may wish to stop for lunch or a drink at the magnificent La Bobadilla Resort, which is built on a hillside in the style of Moorish village.

Barcelona is located on the Mediterranean coast of northern Spain not far from France. This busy city with a population greater than two million is the largest Spanish speaking port in the world after Buenos Aires. The Canary Islands are a group of seven Spanish islands in the Atlantic Ocean 60 miles off the coast of northwest Africa. The islands are mountainous and have a mild climate with temperatures ranging from the sixties in winter to the seventies in summer. Most Spanish cruise ships stop at either Las Palmas on the Grand Canary Island or Santa Cruz on the island of Tenerife. The islands are volcanic resulting in several black sand beaches.

Santa Cruz is a lively town that may seem more beautiful than Las Palmas. Here you can visit the archeological and anthropological museum, the seventeenth century Carta Palace, and the historical relics of the Church of the Concepcion. Tourists often take an excursion from Santa Cruz through the town of La Laguna followed by a beautiful drive to Orotava and Porto de la Cruz passing by beautiful coastlines, tropical flowers, and foliage. All that and more awaits you on a Spanish cruise.
