A meatball is hoisted at Prezzo, where the is rooted in Italian-American favorites with a few modern twists.

1st, the poor information: Scusi, the PGA Boulevard trattoria opened by star chef Laurent Tourondel in late 2019, has forever shut. The superior news? Prezzo, the legendary 90s-period Italian restaurant revived in Boca Raton four many years in the past by restaurateur Burt Rapoport, will take more than the area.

Prezzo is envisioned to open up this drop at the PGA Commons plaza in the house that housed Vic and Angelo’s for 14 a long time before it welcomed Scusi.

“We’re hoping for mid-November. It’s likely to be a quick turnaround,” Prezzo’s controlling companion Eddie Pozzuoli claimed Thursday by cell phone.

A view of Scusi's sunny patio in Palm Beach Gardens. The spacious restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating areas, punctuated in Mediterranean hues.

The Scusi area, sunny and furnished in Mediterranean blues and whites, is quite substantially turnkey, says Pozzuoli, a former Coral Springs cafe proprietor who partnered with Rapoport two a long time ago to operate the Prezzo model.

“Fortunately, we will not have to do considerably building to the space. If at all, it’ll be just beauty,” he reported.

What to count on at the new Italian restaurant Prezzo

It’s not the 1st time the Prezzo brand name ventures into Palm Seashore Gardens. In the early 1990s, Rapoport and then business enterprise partner Dennis Max opened a Prezzo at the Prosperity Centre plaza on PGA Boulevard and Prosperity Farms Street. It was a spinoff of the authentic Prezzo in Boca Raton. (The Gardens spot became a Carmine’s seafood restaurant.)
